Most Staffordshire figures made from 1740 to 1900 were produced by small potteries and makers' marks are generally absent

The frame is made of two outer rows of real bamboo which has been painted cream and then heavily distressed. The tartan plaid is green and pink on cream and very slightly crumpled and adheres directly to the board.
