Sandhill Crane Colt - Sandy Jr. - Stuffed Animal Home facts and moreThe Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge is well known for the migration of Sandhill Cranes every fall. During the spring and summer months, we have several pairs that nest here, also. The parents raise their babies, called "colts". These colts will fly south with them during the fall. What a perfect way to teach and encourage younger ones (and older collectors), about these amazing, huge and unique birds, than to bring a furry friend home. It's a great
