BRITISH COMMONWEALTH 1939-45 DEFENCE MEDAL WW2 German Helmet paratrooper Fair worn conditionBRITISH 1939 45 DEFENCE MEDAL ORIGINAL This WW2 British Defense Medal is 37mm in diameter, nickel silver, which has riveted to its top the decorative base to a double horizontal bar, for the included ribbon. On the front of the medal is an uncrowned, left facing, profile portrait of George VI, surrounded by the embossed inscription "Georgius VI D: G: Br: Omn: Rex F: D: Ind: Imp:" On the reverse is a Lion and Lioness on either side of a young oak tree
