Crafted from 15 karat gold throughout, it was made in the early 19th Century, circa 1820, and remains in excellent condition. It's a substantial piece; the weight is 38 grams, and the width of the links is 5. 8mm. The clasp is elaborately decorated with floral, foliate, and sea shell designs in high relief.
