In 1969, Butler & Wilson (Nicky Butler and Simon Wilson) began selling jewellery in the Antiquarius market, Chelsea and shortly after in 1972 their first shop opened in London. Taking inspiration from the Art Deco period to the Victorian era, they used coloured stones and crystals to create glamorous statement pieces. Princess Diana was seen wearing many Butler and Wilson pieces
