For consideration is this early Prattware plate depicting a pastoral fishing scene with a stunning transfer printed border of dancing cherubs on a mustard ground with gilt accents

Here is a stunning transfer ware plate by Royal Doulton of Staffordshire England

The pattern name/depiction is thought to be derived from the Tea plant Camellia Sinensis

It was first introduced by Spode in 1814 and was derived from a printed illustration  in the book 'Views of Rome and its Vicinity' published around 1796-98

The upper and lower bands are a pretty design of Victorian styled scrollwork. Measures: apps 10" tall x 6 3 4" across Condition: No chips or cracks, some typical age crazing is present.
