In the spring of 1977, Millie Jackson was in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, laying down tracks for what became Feelin Bitchy with co producer Brad Shapiro. Released in August 1977, the album reached #4 and #34 in Americas Billboards R&B and Hot 100, going gold with over 500,000 copies sold. Jacksons cover of If Youre Not Back In Love By Monday already a hit for Merle Haggard in March 1977 also reached #5 R&B and #43 in the Hot 100 in August.
